Remember playing dodgeball, foxtail, freeze tag, water balloon fights, and kickball as a kid? It was so much fun huh? Well, I got to do all those things and more as an adult! And I absolutely loved it!
When I lived in Dallas, I worked part-time at an afterschool program in this neighborhood called Vickery Meadows. I worked with mostly Hispanic and Mexican children and got to be apart of their families as well. It was the most fun job I had ever had!
I did everything with the kids like helping with homework, leading bible studies, coaching cheerleading (ha, me a cheerleader?), dance performances, plays, vacation bible school, dressing up as cows to get free food from Chic-fil-A, the list goes on!
Ahh, the good old days where I got to wear shorts and a t-shirt to work and had a blast. I like working with adults now, but there is nothing like giggling over Twilight movies and making homemade facial masks with the girls. Or a competitive game of volleyball with all the teenagers. I miss Vickery so much!
